7th CPC Recommendations Grant of Rs. 5400 PB-2 / Level-9 of the Pay Matrix to the posts in the Railways Accounts Department

Sub: Implementation of recommendations of 7th CPC – paras 11.40.83 & 11.12.140 – grant of grade pay of Rs. 5400/- (PB-2)/Level-9 of Pay Matrix to posts in Accounts Department of Railways.

In pursuance to acceptance of the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission as contained in paras 11.40.83 and 11.12.140 of its report read with para 10 of Ministry of Finance’s Resolution No. 1-2/2016-IC dated 25.07.2016 (Annexure-III A (I)) and Department of Expenditure/Ministry of Finance’s OM F No. 25-02/2017- IC/E.III(A) dated 27.04.2021, the President has now accorded his approval for upgrading pay scales of following posts of Accounts Department of Railways:-

2Senior Travelling Inspector (Accounts)Pay Band-2 + Grade Pay Rs. 4800/- (Level-8)Level-8 of Pay Matrix and Level-9 (PB-2/GP-5400) on non-functional basis on completion of 04 (four) years service in Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- (PB-2)/Level-8.
3Senior Inspector (Store Accounts)Pay Band-2 + Grade Pay Rs. 4800/- (Level-8)Level-8 of Pay Matrix and Level-9 (PB-2/GP-5400) on non-functional basis on completion of 04 (four) years service in Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- (PB-2)/Level-8.

2. Above orders shall be effective from 01.01.2016. After grant of upgradation on non-functional basis to aforementioned posts after completion of four years service, their designation, duties and responsibilities, and Classification of Posts as Group ‘C’ shall remain unchanged.
